I am in the last year of my bachelor studies in International Business and Management. I found &samhoud creative tech while searching the internet for a creative agency, since I realised, I want to combine my knowledge in business with doing something more creative.
I am very glad that &samhoud creative tech gave me the chance to proof that I would be suitable for the Digital Production Intern position, even though I had not yet gathered much experience in that field. At &samhoud creative tech I was able to combine my passion for organizing and planning together with implementing my own ideas in the Digital Production process.
The combination of personality and skills
At &samhoud creative tech it is about how you combine your know-how with your personality. The company is always looking for new talents for their intern positions in Digital Production, Concept & Copy, Visual and UX Design or as AR/VR hacker. They look for interns that fit into the company culture, not only for the time as an intern, but maybe even for a placement in the future. Most of the people working here once started with an internship and now have been in the company for multiple years.
Every day looks different
I enjoy very much that every day is different from another. There are days that are rather quiet and others that are super busy. Usually you come to work and first check your emails and check with your teammates what tasks are on today's agenda. This can be from creating budget sheets, to casting actors, preparing shoots and doing user tests. I really like that you work quite independently and are able to make your own decisions, but also to discuss it with others or ask for help when needed. Around noon we usually have lunch together with the whole team at our lunch table in the office. This is a nice time to have a little chat with everyone.
The working culture at &samhoud creative tech is great. Everyone is very open-minded and leaned back, but also hard working.
Depending on your tasks you usually work together with different teams, for example, the concepting team when discussing the idea behind the planned project, the designers and editors to implement those ideas visually and with the IT-team when everything comes together. Especially when developing new apps, they let the magic happen.
When there is a shooting the day looks quite different. You meet at the shooting location with all the crew members and equipment and make sure everything goes as planned. My job is to assist the producer by making sure everyone knows what to do and the scenes are all shot in the right order. Shooting days are a lot of fun, but can also be exhausting, since you realise how much work is behind only a few minutes of video material.
A team that welcomes you with open arms
The working culture at &samhoud creative tech is great. Everyone is very open-minded and leaned back, but also hard working. I really like that I do not only feel like an intern but quite quickly felt as part of the team.
Every intern is assigned to a supervisor who guides you through weekly tasks and that you can ask for advice when needed. Weekly update meetings help you to discuss your own development and to make sure you work on the goals that you had set yourself when starting the internship. It is not only about the performance that you deliver but more about the progress you make for yourself.

&samhoud creative tech’s higher goal is “Together we build a brighter future” and the together is really implemented in the company's culture. Everyone can contribute ideas and opinions are highly valued. In my time here I feel like I have been given great responsibility and that the tasks that I have been assigned to actually contributed to the company's being. My colleagues feel like friends but also like mentors that I have learned a lot from.

During my internship I was able to work together with &samhoud consultancy on a big project, where I was even able to travel to Germany to shoot at our client's office. I learned a lot about AR and the production process, but also about myself: how to make my own decisions and ask for advice. &samhoud showed me that even the biggest challenges can be tackled if you are creative enough to find the right solutions.
The goal of &samhoud is to connect people in order to create something special, and if I would not go back to Germany after my studies, I would be more than happy to continue my time within this great team.
